The Law on Amending the Tax Procedure Law and Some Other Laws has been published in the Official Gazette dated 26 November 2022. In this Law, with the amendments made in the Law on Financial Stability and Some Regulations numbered 4059;
- The Price Stability Committee has been established, to contribute to the permanent establishment and maintenance of price stability.
- This committee consist of the Minister of Treasury and Finance, the Minister of Labor and Social Security, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, the Minister of Industry and Technology, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, the Minister of Commerce, the Head of Strategy and Budget and the President of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey.
- Duties and powers of the committee has been determined as; to develop structural policy proposals to ensure price stability by observing the coordination between monetary and fiscal policies, to determine the measures to be taken apart from monetary policy and monetary policy instruments by monitoring the risks that threaten price stability and to make recommendations to relevant institutions and organizations to ensure its implementation, to take decisions to ensure that the prices determined or directed by the public are applied with a focus on price stability.
